Lyons Community Theater Festival
April 25th in the town of Lyons—a full day of theatre-centered workshops and activities, culminating in an evening monologue competition with cash prizes (Grand Prize: $1,000).

This event is a fundraiser, and all proceeds will directly support Lyons Community Theater, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating accessible, community-driven theatre in Lyons.
​
We are currently seeking experienced theatre practitioners who may be interested in either:
• Hosting a workshop or lecture during the day, or
• Serving as a judge for the monologue competition
​
For workshops and lectures, we are especially interested in offerings related to (but not limited to):

Casting and audition techniques

Stage combat and safe physical storytelling

Scenic painting and design fundamentals

Improv and ensemble-based work

Mental health and wellness in theatre

Stage movement and physicality for actors

Directing, play analysis, or production skills

For all participating practitioners, we will provide non-alcoholic beverages and a meal on the day of the event as a thank-you for your time and expertise.
